Recently on National Alpaca Day, we decided to take the kiddos to the Rolling Oak Alpaca Ranch. I love alpacas and llamas both so I was excited to feed and pet the alpacas. (I got to see llamas in person in Kansas City.)
Rolling Oaks is a family business that was started by a local mother and daughter. They also have a shop where they sell items made with alpaca fur! It’s such a neat place.
On National Alpaca Day, visitors could feed and pet the alpacas, as well as tour the ranch. It was pretty busy when we visited, but we had a great time. We each fed the alpacas for $1 each.
We watched the goats they also have on their ranch and then went out to the pasture where it was like alpaca heaven!!! There were alpacas everywhere, and you could pet them and also feed them if you had food.
Afterward, we checked out the gift shop and got drinks from a coffee stand that was set-up outside. Normally during their events, they try to have some type of refreshments!

Rolling Oak has a lot of classes for painting with alpacas, spinning alpaca yarn, weaving, alpaca yoga, and more! (The alpaca yoga is definitely on my to-do list next year!!)
