Hotel G in San Francisco is a boutique hotel located on Geary Street, right near Union Square. It is a revamped, modern concept hotel. We found this hotel on Booking.com and just loved the look and feel of it so we had to book it!
Hotel G was very easy to find from the airport using the GPS in our rental car. There is a parking garage that is only a block or two away on a corner. (Y’all know how I love convenient parking when we travel!) We were easily able to walk from the garage to our hotel with no issues and felt perfectly safe.
This revamped hotel is so charming. I was slightly afraid of the elevator because it was older, lol, but it added kitsch to the place. The decor is absolutely gorgeous!
The staff is very friendly and helpful! They were always willing to take a photo of us in the lobby, which I appreciated! It didn’t have a “chain hotel” feeling to it which I really liked.
We had plenty of room to spread our bags out, as the rooms are quite modern and spacious. Hotel G rooms have concrete floors with rugs and a small closet. They have an iron and ironing board in the closet. They had all the usual amenities including a television, hair dryer and alarm. There is also plenty of plug-ins for your devices.
There is a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel that is always quite busy. We didn’t make it there because we were out exploring.
There are several art galleries and small wine bars near the hotel.
Since it is located near Union Square which means that there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. (Honey Honey being one of them!) We used Uber primarily for transportation, but we walked around Union Square and there are other public transportation options nearby also.
Chinatown is within walking distance, but wear your comfy shoes or those hills will get ya!
We would definitely stay at Hotel G again and recommend it highly!
