This is a review of Hotel G, a boutique hotel on Geary Street in San Francisco near Union Square. We found it on Trip Advisor and loved the look and feel of it so we had to book it.
Hotel G was very easy to find from the airport using the GPS in our rental car. There is a parking garage that is only a block or two away on a corner. (Y’all know how I love convenient parking when we travel!) We were easily able to walk from the garage to our hotel with no issues and felt perfectly safe.
This revamped hotel is so charming. I was slightly afraid of the elevator because it was older, but it adds to the charm of the place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were always willing to take a photo of us in the lobby, which I appreciated! It didn’t have a “chain hotel” feeling to it which I really liked.
We had plenty of room to spread our bags out, as the rooms are quite modern and spacious. Hotel G rooms have concrete floors and a small closet beside the bed. They have an iron and ironing board in the closet. They had all the usual amenities including a television, hair dryer and alarm. There is also plenty of plug-ins for your devices.
There is a bar attached to the hotel that is always quite busy. We didn’t make it there because we were always so busy.
It is located in Union Square which means that there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. (Honey Honey being one of them!) We used Uber primarily for transportation, but there are other options nearby also.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly!
