If you love a glass of good wine, brew or a good time, this post is for you! One of our favorite things to do is go visit our friends in St Louis. We loving going out with them, and experiencing new places to eat and things to do! They know all the good dive bars and some BOMB places to eat. This trip didn’t disappoint. My husband might have had a little TOO much fun if ya know what I mean. 😉 So let’s talk about our half-day in St Louis!
FIRST STOP, was Mama Toscano’s on The Hill. Holy Schmoly, folks! Best toasted ravioli I’ve had in my life. Did you know that they hand-make their ravioli?! I don’t normally like meat in my ravioli either, I normally stick to my go-to cheese, but this was so good. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Next up, we headed out to Chesterfield to see the new Top Golf. Hubby & I are heavily into golf right now. It is our thing to do and we have fun doing it! I highly recommend taking up a hobby together. We’ve learned a lot about each other and it is something we both look forward to at the end of the weeks. Unfortunately, Top Golf was hella busy, so we didn’t get to play. We are looking forward to going back and playing sometime though when the newness has worn off a bit.
Since we were in Chesterfield, us ladies decided we were in a WINE MOOD. Oh yeah. So we headed to Naked Vine to see what kind of wine we could get into. I think we are pretty lucky that the guys tolerate our love of wine and even will partake in wines with us.

We had some really great wine at Naked Vine in Chesterfield last weekend. 🌿🍷 I had a rose that was divine! If only I would’ve remembered to write the name of it down. 🙈 I’m not a big rose person but it was great! Maybe I can find it on their website. ☺️😉 #journeytojoy #travelgram #instatravel #travelblogger #visitusa #midwesttravel #STL #visitstl #visitmo
I had a delicious Rose there that was from the Sonoma Coast. It was called Red Car and had hints of raspberry and watermelon. It was so crisp! Now all that being said, I’m not a ‘Rose All Day’ kinda gal. GASP! I know, bear with me. I really enjoyed this wine though – so if you are a weirdo like me, try it. You may find it’s a Rose you also really like!
After our wine sipping, we headed to Dog Town to Heavy Riff Brewing. I’m not a craft beer gal, but my Hubby and our friends are. So while they sampled various craft beers, I had a whiskey and soda. We have been to Heavy Riff before and it really is a cool little spot. If craft beer is your thing, you must go.
Side note: I proceeded to lose my mind when we saw a Husky being walked IN Dog Town. Unfortunately, it was gone before I could pet it. Sad face. There were so many cute pooches in dog town though, so if you are a dog watcher (ya know, like a people watcher execpt you love dogs), get thyself to Dog Town.
To round out our night, we decided to head to The Improv Shop to take in a little local comedy. I’d never been here before, but it was a neat little spot! The stage area was super small so you really got an up close and personal experience. The comedians were pretty good, but moreover it was inspiring to me to see them put it all out there! They had a passion for their craft and you could see it.
The area the club was in looked a little sketchy, but it was actually fine. This was the sign in the parking lot and it cracked us up:
Our visit to St. Louis was another one for the books! I sure do love that city.
