We take trips to St. Louis every other month, so I wanted to compile a list of our favorite hotels because friends and family ask me a lot about where we stay. Normally we either stay near Forest Park/The Hill or Downtown. It just depends on what we are doing, but I wanted to compile a list of our top 5 St Louis hotels for you guys!
We stayed here for the last 5K I did (which was about 2 years ago – oopsie!!). We stayed up WAY too late gambling, y’all, but it was a blast. I really loved the interior of the hotel. I included a photo of us in the hotel that a nice couple took when they saw we were struggling to selfie, lol. It’s not great quality but shows how awesome the inside is. I definitely want to go back here sometime and really experience the hotel to it’s fullest because we didn’t spend enough time there last time. Parking was easy here, they have their own lot.
Drury Inn Forest Park
We stay here frequently and always have good stays. I’m not really your Drury Inn type, but by God, this location has WON ME, guys. We stay here every time we are visiting our friends who live near the hill because it’s super convinient. We always have great stays here and if you get up early enough, I think there is a breakfast. BUT we always seem to miss that because we can’t seem to leave a hotel until 2 seconds before check out time. Also, they have free parking. Because it’s the Drury. And it’s awesome.
Hyatt Regency @ The Arch
Before I knew of the Drury Inn’s greatness, I loved to stay Downtown. I LOVED this hotel! We got an Arch view room and it was THE BOMB. We had the best view of the Arch. They were still working on the park below when we stayed here, but I didn’t care. I was amazed with the view. The room was super comfortable also. We valet parked here which I highly suggest because parking around this hotel was frustrating. Also, side note: there were no restaurants open near it around 2AM/3AM, for what that’s worth. 🙂
Hampton Inn Forest Park
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. It’s not quite as close to Forest Park at the Drury but I do love it. They have a restaurant in the hotel which I always seemed to visit and find handy when I was there to do my 5k’s before. I didn’t venture out of my comfort zone much when I traveled there by myself. Parking here is very easy also which was important to me on those particular trips.
We stayed here when we eloped in St. Louis a few months ago. We had THE BEST stay here!! We had a Busch Stadium view and our bed was SUPER comfortable. I really enjoyed our stay here. They have a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel and a parking lot to make parking downtown easy which might be worth the higher price tag in itself.
Mariott St. Louis Grand
We stayed here for New Years a few years ago. Parking was a PAIN in the can, folks. We had to drag our luggage from a parking garage that was a few blocks away. Maybe it was because it was New Years, I don’t know, but I was not a fan of that. Also, they tried to give us a room I didn’t book, so I had say a little something about that. THAT BEING SAID, their rooms are super comfortable, the bathroom was quite large for a hotel bathroom in our room, and the bar was nice and comfortable to hang in.
Hilton St. Louis @ the Ballpark
I stayed here about 3 years ago and had the best stay. However, when we stayed here the last time, we had a horrible visit. It sounded like someone had a saw and hammer working on the room above ours and it woke us up EARLY at like 5AM. We even complained and they did NOTHING. I was annoyed. However, my stay 3 years ago, I had none of these issues and parked across the street at a garage. Super easy. So I don’t know, maybe it was a fluke. But we probably won’t stay there again for a while. If ever. Just sayin’.
Where do you like to stay in St. Louis??
