I visited the Magic Kingdom when I was a child and always wanted to go back. I didn’t get to go back until 2015, but I think the best part about my visit was… wait for it… IT WAS NOT PLANNED!! Yes, that’s right, while I was in Orlando in 2015, I decided to randomly go to to Disney World. And not a bit of me regrets it!! The only thing I regret is not having more time!!
There is something about a visit to Disney World that brings the kid out in you. I don’t know what it is, but it’s just that Disney MAGIC! I still haven’t met Minnie Mouse (I WILL MEET YOU ONE DAY MINNIE, if it’s the last thing I do!!!), but I did have a blast.
I started out my day at Disney world somehow deciding I would ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster. Now, I’m not sure what happened to me mentally because I’ve never been on a roller coaster in my life, but I was COMMITTED because I didn’t have a fast pass and that line was LONG AS HELL because it had just opened.
Well, it turns out, it was A BLAST!! I had a lot of anxiety leading up to the actual ride. Also, I did NOT want to be in the front. But of course I was in the blessin’ front when I board that bad boy. It was so much fun though and I even bought a Disney trading pin to commemorate my ride. Maybe one day I’ll get up the courage to ride Space Mountain. 😉
Here’s a list of the rides and attractions I made it to on my Disney on the Fly experience:
- Country Bears – I went to this when I was 4! Might’ve been even more fun now for the adult moments that happen, lol.
- Monsters of Comedy – this was so cool! I don’t know how they make these interactive shows but it was A HOOT!
- The Little Mermaid – This did not exist when I was little so I had to ride it. No regrets!
- It’s a small world – because you can’t go to Magic Kingdom and NOT ride this one!
- Winnie the Pooh ride
- Tomorrowland Transit
- Jungle Cruise
- Haunted Mansion, which was so super cool.
Another particular favorite experience was the Hall of Presidents. It is a bit spooky because it feels like the ACTUAL PRESIDENTS are sitting there telling you their stories. I will have to go back to this because they will have to have added Donald Trump, right?!
I had such a blast. It was seriously one of the best days EVER!! Like top 10 people. Get yourself to a Disney World and experience this magic for yourself. You won’t regret it! The only thing I missed was the Pirates of the Caribbean because it was down, getting refurbished.
We definitely want to take the kids to Disney within the next few years. What’s your favorite Magic Kingdom ride??
