Did you know that Chinatown in San Francisco is the oldest AND largest in North America?! It was a must-see on our list when we were in San Fran. Wear your sneakers because you are doing a LOT of walking up-hill, my friends! We loved Chinatown and definitely want to go back someday.
The entry to Chinatown is pretty iconic. We knew we were going the right way when saw the infamous gate! We stayed fairly close at Hotel G so it was easy to walk right on over there.
In Chinatown, there are dozens of cute shops and tiny markets with fresh fruits and veggies. There were so many tiny restaurants and bars, all right next to one another. I’ve never seen anything like it before!
This is a place you will definitely want to spend an afternoon at because there is so much amazing street art around also. It was, by far, one of my favorite places to shoot photos this trip.
We found the cutest fortune cookie shop ever down one of the alleys. You can actually walk inside and watch them make fortune cookies. So freaking cool!! We paid a small donation to take a photo inside the shop.
We ended up taking an Uber to our next destination, but be sure to always look back from the top of the hill. Amazing views are always waiting in San Fran!
